Green cardamom, if you hear the word ‘spice’, Green cardamom is probably the first to come to most people’s mind. There are two kinds of cardamom, Green and Black. Green is most commonly used, be it in middle east cuisine or the Swedish in theirs. Black is mostly used in India, especially Northern India.
Green cardamom is called ‘true cardamom’. There is also a white bleached version which isn’t as common.
Ayurveda uses Green cardamom in its detoxifying concoctions. There are studies that prove that cardamom oil can be anti bacterial as kill fungi too.
